In 1923, the Dental Department would merge with the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, the world’s first dental college, to become the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, Dental School, University of Maryland.

The Dr. Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry celebrates the past, present, and future of dentistry while sharing the importance of a healthy mouth in a healthy life.
