Information
The Baltimore Jewelry Center (BJC) is a 501c3 educational makerspace and craft school that is building a vibrant creative community for the study and practice of metalsmithing and art jewelry. BJC educates and inspires new and established artists, as well as promotes metalsmithing and art jewelry to the general public.
The BJC offers a residency program for both emerging and mid-career artists, a teaching fellowship for early career educators, and a variety of internships. Additionally, it has a gallery and exhibitions program and helps artists grow sustainable business practices by offering professional development, sales opportunities, and a promotional platform. The BJC capitalizes on the resurgence of craft education in America and seeks to inspire a new generation of makers and artists.
