Terrault Gallery

218 W Saratoga St, 3rd floor, 21201 http://www.terraultcontemporary.com/

Once home to Johnson Brothers Radio Producers & Retailers and, for a time, an underwear manufacturing facility, this five story building now houses art galleries. Maryland Art Place purchased and renovated the building in 1991 with the goal of filling the contemporary art gallery niche in Baltimore. According to legend, Laurenz C. Luthardt, a well-known 1890s confectioner, died in the building. People say that sometimes the elevator takes them to the basement whether or not they want to go there! Learn for yourself if Mr. Luthardt haunts the building while exploring Terrault on the third floor, an artist-run art gallery that shows multidisciplinary exhibitions that focus on innovative techniques as well as socially relevant themes.

The gallery will be open for Doors Open Baltimore beginning at 12pm
