Montgomery Park

1800 Washington Blvd, Baltimore, MD 21230

Montgomery Park is an adaptive reuse of the 1925 distribution center built for Montgomery Ward’s, a dry goods mail order company founded in 1872. Constructed entirely of poured-in-place concrete in an Art Deco design, the building is eight stories tall and contains over 75,000 individual panes of glass on its exterior. As Montgomery Ward’s, the building was a rail-served 1.3 million square foot distribution center with an accompanying on-site department store. The building’s 2002 renovation included installation of a green roof and greywater reuse system; this project was recognized by the EPA for returning an environmentally compromised property to productive use. Today Montgomery Park provides office space for tenants as well as a fitness center, food court, daycare center and 500 seat conference facility. DOB visitors should use the security entrance to enter the building.
