The Big Kitchen started out as the home of Schneidereith and Company, Printers, a company begun by German immigrant Carl Schneidereith in 1849, which was first known for publishing a weekly newspaper and prayer books. Ned Atwater opened his first bread, soup and salad shop in 2003. Since then, Atwater’s business has grown to include six shops and the Big Kitchen production facility in Morrell Park. In addition to supplying products for their shops, the Big Kitchen allows Atwater’s staff to experiment with new recipes for ice creams, jam and pickles. Come watch the kitchen in action and taste some of your favorite Atwater’s foods!
