1781 Quaker Meeting House

1201 E. Fayette St, Baltimore, MD 21202 www.mckimcenter.org

The Quaker Meeting House is the oldest surviving house of worship in Baltimore, where prominent Baltimoreans Elisha Tyson, Johns Hopkins and Moses Sheppard worshipped. The quaint two-story building has a gable roof with high vaulted ceilings and an interior chimney. The building had separate entrances for men and women and featured sliding wood paneling to partition the room for men’s and women’s meetings. Staff will be on hand to answer your questions about the building.
